Short story

I’m a 26-year-old digital artist born and raised in Venezuela, currently living in Belgium. I’m passionate about bringing together two of my favorite things in the world: books and art. Through my paintings, I bring to life characters from tales of fantasy and romance, featuring morally grey fae lords, fire-wielding queens, sassy dragons, lost kingdoms, and everything in between.

Long(er) story

If you had asked 5-year-old me what she wanted to be when she grew up, the answer would have been an artist. Sadly, I got in my own way. I convinced myself that I couldn't really pursue art as a career, and so I stumbled along.

In high school, I dropped out of my weekly extracurricular drawing class. In college, I went on to study Business (and changed majors to Politics/Philosophy halfway through). My grades were good, but it all felt wrong. My soul was screaming at that point, but I pushed through and quite literally went back to business: I enrolled in a Belgian business school to study Marketing.

And then the pandemic began. I just wanted to escape from reality; I wanted magic to help me face the world, and so I turned to reading. As I flipped through thousands of pages, I stumbled across Bookstagram and all the incredible fanart that was being created within that community. It fascinated me, fueled my desire to read more, and reignited my love for art. And I realized that 5-year-old me had been right all along.

I still went on to business school, but I bought an iPad Pro and started painting whenever I had free time. I started watching online videos and buying art books. I chose to go with a slow and steady approach, enjoying the process of exploring my art without fear and stress.

Currently, I live in Belgium with my best friend and fiancée (who luckily happens to be the same person). I work full-time as a Content Marketeer for a B2B industrial company, and I have continued to paint daily. It’s been almost two years since I decided to give my art a shot, and I have never been this happy. I'm incredibly grateful for the privilege of taking things one step at a time.

I share my art every week on social media, and I take commissions from fellow book and art lovers. I've met incredible people who love getting lost in fantasy worlds, reading smutty scenes, and whose favorite color is grey. I sell my paintings as prints through Fox & Mage, and I have a bunch of other plans to continue growing as an artist, which I'll share with you as soon as possible!

Let me tell you, it’s truly amazing to wake up every day and work towards your dreams.
